What's going on at BunkSpeed?

Seems like some goings on at the bunkspeed blog - no longer mentioning HyperShot, but now referring to a product (upgrade) coming out later this year called SHOT which uses mental images iray technology.
@unknownuser said:
Bunkspeed SHOT’s ability to use either the CPU, GPU or both, promises to be faster than ever before, scaling seamlessly on one or more machines to make optimal use of any particular hardware configuration. Bunkspeed SHOT’s integration with mental images’ iray rendering technology, fully exploits the powerful parallel processing power of NVIDIA CUDA-enabled GPUs, encouraging more rapid iterations with stunning photorealistic accuracy.
Good news for HyperShot users?

So all this GPU/CPU render business - is it going to require high-cost proprietary software, or will Podium and Twilight be able to take advantage of it at some point?

KeyShot is the new name for HyperShot, now offered by Luxion ApS.

Some fairly impressive stuff in the gallery: http://www.keyshot.com/gallery/

Very true, but then you could make a similar argument for vue and exteriors. Depends what you need it for really.

Vue, is different as they do not call themselves a render solution, but rather 'Digital nature', which they do well.
Only now are they looking into Archvis and creating aproduct for this industry.
