Dropping (or Draping) 3d geometry
-
So, I've been playing around with the sandbox tools to make landforms and I've seen some tutorial videos on the web that demonstrate using the drop.rb to drop trees and bushes onto the undulating landscape to quickly populate some vegetation.
But now I'd like to kick that up a notch (BAM!) and drop some 3d geometry onto an undulating landform (such as a road surface with curbs). I've figured out how to drop 2d flat geometry ... but if I build up the road with some curbs, the curbs don't drop and hug the contours of the land.
For the life of me, I can't figure out a way to do this?
Am I just dense, or is there a ruby script out there that would restore my sanity?
Thanks in advance for any advice from all you gurus.
Cheers,
