I have several questions about Vue.

I'm seeing lots of nice renders coming from it and it's obvious advantage of landscaping/plants etc are tempting me to try it.

Firstly, which package is best to use bearing in mind I am architecture based?
    Vue XStream 8?

Will it create things like mountains, or rock faces etc.
For example if I have a SU model and I want a 20ft high rock face behind it, does Vue have the capabilities of creating this and is it a difficult thing to create?

I'm only really aware that it creates eco systems and I am sure it can do far, far more than I expect.

Is creating a SU model and exporting it to Vue workable? Is this a straight forward method?

I'm not really looking for detailed methods of how to do the above, I just want to know if it can do these things.

Vue Xstream will integrate with SOME other modeling and rendering softwares, such as 3D Max (usually the high-end, expensive ones - not SU). I use Vue Infinite, as I don't have other software to integrate with. I'm not sure, but Vue Complete might also work for archvis. You need to compare the features.

Vue will create mountains, rocks (no two alike), water, atmospheres, and just about anything else int he natural world.

Yes, you can create a wall in Vue; personally, I find it easier to model non-natural elements in SU and then import it into Vue, though. The level of difficulty is proportionate to your skill, experience, and understanding of the program. That being said, if I can use it, a drunken monkey can.

To import into Vue, export the SU model as an obj or 3ds file, then import that into Vue.

      My avatar is an anachronism.

xStream and infinite are essentially the same thing. They each have the base Vue program, the maxed out version with all modules included. The only difference is that (as mentioned above) xstream will also plug into 3ds max or maya, etc. So if you don't own another software like that , xtream offers nothing above infinite.

And the free ple versions are available for Vue 8 now, so download the infinite ple and install and use it. I find it frustrating to get going, but little by little I am making progress. I might even d/l a few eco system packs that look interesting soon.

Before my last HD crash, I also had the PLE version installed and as my time allowed, enjoyed it quite much. I think i will install it again.

Also, there is another "free" version (also with watermarks and incompatible file format with the full version) but I forget the name (maybe Pioneer?)

It seems there are plenty of tutorials around (video) to purchase.

Are there any that people recommend?

If I install the PLE version of Infinite or Xstream and I wish to carry on using it commercially and without watermarks, can you register the PLE version and carry on working, or do you have to delete it and re-install a dedicated full version?
