    Photo match tool ineffective

      Hello all! I have lately been addicted to this great tool. However, I think that the photo match tool method, though it is great in photos of urban environments with a lot of orthogonal lines, it is ineffective when dealing with photos of landscape/terrain environment where you have no hint of perspective. Moreover, you have no way of setting a bitmap background and matching to it, using plain pan/orbit/fov tools like we did in 3dmax and autocad environments (or is there, and i cannot find it?). Eventually, if I have a model of a building in a free landscape, there is no way of matching it in the terrain apart from "guessing" where the red and green lines should be. Believe me, I've spent the last 2 hours trying...

        Hi Aigagros,

        I do not really use photomatch but I have seen a couple of really stunning results with it - some of them with buildings in a landscape environment. Have a look at these examples from the gallery here:
