Major Importing Sketchup Problems

T94_1.pdfI have been using Sketchup to draw pieces of furniture. I then open up TurboFLOORPLAN Pro v14 by IMSI Design. Upon importing a
Sketchup drawing into TFLPv14 the material goes wacky. Is there something I might be missing in SU that would prevent what you see in the attachments to this post? Here are the steps I take.Please view the attachments when reading to fully understand my problem.
- Created SU file (T94_1.pdf); the horizontal pieces are components with horizontal wood grain applied; the vertical piece is a component with vertical wood grain applied. Both were put onto their own layers.
- T94_2.pdf shows the SU file imported into TFLPv14. After it was imported I had to change mapping tiles to get the grain in perspective.
- NOTE: how the top of the horizontal pieces has a different grain direction
- T94_3.pdf is from behind the view in T94_2.pdf. Notice the wacky tiling of the wood grain
This is really a mind boggler. Can this problem be stopped in SU or is the problem taking place in TFLPv14? TFLPv14 is a very very good program for designing but I must use SU to make pieces of furniture that are specific to my needs.
Any help, opinions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dekade, hi folks.
It would be easier having a look at the SKP file to see how the model is made.
I suspect that your woodpieces are not separately grouped or componentised (sorry for that word).
Keep in mind that, in SU, layers are not used as in CAD softwares. They do not separate geometries. They only serve to control the visibility of objects. To separate geometries, you must use groups or, for repetitive elements, components if you want to save in file size.
