Make unique texture from multiple faces
-
i think i am going crazy...
i am trying to make a unique texture with a combination of lines and faces ie. draw some lines on a face and select the whole face including lines and make a texture. i have done this before, and dimly remember it being really quite simple. but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it again.
i'd really appreciate it if anyone can restore my sanity.. -
It should be "combine textures" if there are more textures painted on those coplanar faces. It only works if there are more than one texture involved however. So if you work with the same material, make it unique on one face first and select all in a second step.

The trick is that one of the faces already has to be an image. They can't all be plain colors. So if you have applied only pure colors, then first select a single face, right click on it and choose "Make Unique Texture". That will turn it into an image based texture. Now select all your faces and you will have the option to "Combine Textures".
See if that helps,
Chris
