Looks fantastic Adam! Congrats!

EarthMover
Definetly the best Xmas render -
Adam, is this V-ray for Max or V-ray for SU? I'm asking because I'm trying to find out how to add displacement map to a texture in v-rayfSU
-
under the "maps" rollout check displacement en click on the "m" > type "bitmap" > click on the "m" and browse to you displacement map

Let me pick my jaw from the floor .
David, Adam...speachless .
Thanks a lot guys.We can clearly see that in a project the 3d model represent about 20-30% ..the render does all the job.
Well done guys,well done!!!Elisei

Amazing picture to get inspired from! But I'll be blunt about one thing, scientifically the moon part of the picture is done wrong-the moon crest should not have the clouds in it.
But still... Amazing picture to get inspired from!

Ok, I gave it a whirl. I had fun with it and learned a few things too. Getting the snow to 'bunch up' on the roof was new to me.

Sweet work Captain! Lighting is very realistic. Vue? Only critique would be maybe a different material for the bottom of the light poles and a touch more contrast overall.

Here's my attempt using image-based lighting AO and I made the windows area emitters.
First one is just linear AO, second is using skybox as emitter (IBL), third is with direct lighting as well.
Lighting time is 3 minutes. -
Very realistic Captain(only one thing bother me..those square shadows down there on the snow)..
Adam, those are very nice thinking there is no render engine involved .Thank you for posting ur renders!
