Sketchup to 3ds Max works. The workflow shown at the below link works fine.

SimLab released today a new solution for importing SketchUp models to 3DS Max.
the plugin is free for none commercial use, and it works with 3DS 2009 and 2010 (32 and 64 bit)
The plugin can be download from Sketchup to 3DS Max
