does anyone know if there's a user guide for film and stage? it would be great to know the capabilities and options of the camera's. can you animate them ...?

Basically, to see through a camera, right click > Look Through Camera.

To stop looking through the camera, hit the spacebar.

Each camera is created as a new component, so you're free to add stuff to it.

i realize that part but it seems to me there may be something deeper? possibly some animation stuff. no? 😕

also i was wondering since the down key backs you up, is there a way to change the up key to move forward instead of tilting the camera up?

No animation features that I know of.

It was intended to have a series of modifier keys that allowed you to truck, dolly and pan the camera. (ctrl, alt, option, shift, etc). Holding those keys, along with pressing arrao keys was supposed to move the camera. Unfortunately, they ran into major beugs and I think they decided to stop maintaining it, instead of fixing it. Or they could at least open the script to the public domain so other interested coders could develop it further.

You know you can also change your camera types and control their view angles, etc too? Through the menu system, or by right clicking on the camera or something.

And not part of the plugin at all, but quite interesting, is this little line of code you can enter into the ruby console and it will pop up a camera control menu:

                  Sketchup.send_action 10624

                  Just some thoughts,

                  Chris

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

thanks chris, i suspected there was more to it, to bad it never got finished. was probably intended to develop into a full fledge animation system??

now if i could figure what any of the stuff in the 'camera control menu' means 😕 it could be useful 😆
