Using Sandbox for Topography

Hello, I am having a bit of a problem
When I import my site plan from acad to SU, all the topography lines come in segmented. This makes it extremely difficult to get an accurate site, as well as a big pain in the ass to choose each tiny segment
Am I doing something wrong? Did I import the file incorrectly? Is there a sketchup tool to combine all the segements into 1 line?
Please Help!!

I thank this is more of a Cad problem than SketchUp. I have usually used the weld ruby, and some hand work. Your right a pain, but a lot less of one after weld.
