All Ancient Rome models from 3DWarehouse together
-
Yes, I know. I modeled a maximum of detail because I want to import the model into Zbrush for transform reliefs in normal map !
Congratulations for the render, the pantheon is an beautiful building. I've already visited three times and I'm always fascinated.
-
Yes, Z-Akh, really nicely detailed model (although of course, I would not throw L.VII.C's away either )
Danik:
Textures, textures and textures. Beside a good model (which this Pantheon is indeed), 70-80% of a good render depends on textures.
(I have also seen your Nerva forum render - the same there. Some of the textures are very repetitive and need some care). This Pantheon is very cool. Good idea NOT to place the camera completely into the middle (as little fantasy as I have, I would have ). Some interior lights and some very subtle soft shadow would liven it up a bit I think
(Hope you don't mind the critiques - you know that I love these panoramas and renders - and only want to see them even better)
-
L.VII.C's temple is nice too but i'm very maniac so i want to build the same temple with real proportions.
With a render, his model is more beautiful than mine because the entablure is short. Mine is real but too massive. -
Thanks Gaieus
Actually these are my old models when I haven't enough good textures, now I'm planning to re-texture them, so in future you'll have the opportunity to see the changes.

Beautiful render Danik !
Maybe you can place few 2D character in the scene. How many time for the renders ?
-
Two more suggestions, Danik:
I don't know if the proportions of those stone slabs covering the fora are correct but they seem to be enormous to me.
Also, could you raise the camera height just a little bit? I know that these fora are grand but with a little bit of added height, it would be more "comfortable" to view them. Now they are too depressingly big (which they used to be, surely so maybe I am not right). And of course, I have already seen them (as I am subscribed to your "channel" or what and receive email notifications)

Z-Akh69, each of these renders take about 3-4 hours
Two more renders of baths of Caracalla.

Beautiful render !
It's very sad that buildings so beautiful as this one have disappeared! Thank you for putting the characters to get an idea of the scale. -
Hi guys,
Here are some new images of my work.
What do you think about these proportions in general ? The columns are they too high ? -
-
L.VII.C
Bump Mapping could improve your renders a lot. You can build them from your existing textures.
-
@l.vii.c said:
I shall show my modest attempts render too. While it is impossible better
Small tip... I don't know which render app. you're using (looks like KT, but could be Twilight Render, Podium or another...? ), nonetheless - if you place a big plane under the building you want to render, then the light will bounce and make your render look better...
-
L.VII.C,
Your render are beautiful !! I like your tabularium's texture !
I don't know how to do texture for the moment but i want to try to export my model in Zbrush.
I don't know if it's possible. It would be great to integrate all these models in a video game to walk through the forum !
For my model, I studied very hard for a year to set my proportions and I think they are very realistic.

Another, fairly bearable Roman roofing material for you guys. Found in Ritzi's generous contribution here, tweaked it (as well as the bump - I know it could be better) and renders pretty well both in native SU and in PR renderers. skm file (for the diffuse) also included
-
All this goes beyond me. this is an amazing work.
Great textures, Gaieus!

I made a model of Theatre of Pompey. I spread screens. Later, I'll render. Many thanks to pichuneke, who supplied me with materials a year ago
