How to make an interactive design tool online?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make it possible for one to be able to have an interactive designing tool for laying out kitchens online. I would love to be able to offer a service on my website that anyone could design their own kitchen and come up with a ball park price. Then when they are ready to go further, I then get involved. I would need a way tho to ensure they don't just take the plans and go somewhere else. Any thoughts more than welcome.

Hi Jeff, I believe that as long as you can "save as" you can not prevent a download of what you see on your screen.

if it gets displayed/executed on user machine it can be copied. so better concentrate on getting value out (easy to use, large library, fun, ...) and the customers will come and don't have bother with those that 'take the plans and go somewhere else'

you can have something similar to Floor Plan with library customized to your business. maybe you can add a 'preview as 3d' feature to give more realistic look than 2d. even save as .skp.
