Video Quality?

How can I make the video quality better when exporting from Sketchup?

It just doesn't look that good.

Did you select File > export > animation > options, and set options to 30fps, anti alasis, etc.?

OR, I would even suggest to export as a series of images and compile the whole animation in a dedicated software. Hre is a tutorial (linked in a pdf format) by Paul Russam:

Does anyone have any videos that they have done this way, so I can see what I am dealing with before spending $90 on the Adobe Premiere Elements?

You don't necessarily need that. I bet you already have Windows Movie Maker installed on your system (it may come with the OS) or use Virtual Dub or any of the very good quality freebies.

windknot - I've found that you must do 3 things.

1. the bigger the size the better - i.e 1230 x 901 at 16:9 res is better than 720 x 340 .
2. under codecs use full frame uncompressed
3. highest frame rate 30fps.

It will take hours to render and produce a 300meg plus file but it will look the best you can get out of sketchup and it will also compress down to a useable - web postable - size and retain the clarity.
