      Hi All,

I am having a very hard time turning an inground pool I just modeled into a component that will cut through a surface. Basically, I want to be able to place the pool on a deck in different locations and have it cut through the deck no matter where I place it so you can see the depth of the pool and the deck surrounding the pool. I have spent hours turning the pool model into a component, choosing glue to any surface and made sure 'cut through' was checked off, but the problem is my pool component never cuts through the surface I place in on.

I attached my model so if someone can point me in the right direction to get this to work, I would be greatly appreciative!

Thanks in advance for your help.

      John

Thanks Newone! Can you let me know how you did it so I don't need to bug you when I model some other pool designs πŸ˜•

Just build your component onto a face πŸ˜„. When you will select the geometry and press G (make component shortcut) you will see "cut face" option checked.
