Camera position
-
I would like to make a simple animation for an avatar but to do this I need to return the camera to an exact pre-position after altering the model, I know that you can do this by altering the model than using the step back or forwards to show movement but is there nay other ways to do things like this

Hi Anthony,
By default, Scenes "remember" camera position so if you create a scene (which is needed for animation anyway) and click on the scene tab, you will be "sent back" to the camera position where you created (last updated) the scene.

Thanks for the quick reply Gaieus I had to edit my post slightly as you can see because I though of a better way just after my first post. Any suggestions in this aria will help as the more I learn about SU the more there is to learn

Well, still what I can say is to use scenes. Here is a brief description of the WScene manager:

Thanks again Gaieus I'm looking into your suggestion as I speak

That works well for returning my camera to where I want it, is there a way to alter the model between scenes eg cube into sphere Because I can't find it if there is
-
Do you want (say) a cube in one scene and a sphere in the other? In this case you should create some extra layers then hide one in scene 1 and show in scene 2 and vice versa then put your (grouped) cube and sphere on these different layers.
Somehow like in the model attached where not only the camera position but layer visibility is also updated by the scenes.
