      Hi
      I have a problem while makin my house plan with sketchup6 : Each time i try to apply a photo on a surface of my "oven" (a simple rectangle) the photo always come in the wrong way (there is one border of the pic wich going directly to the corner of my rectangle but always in the wrong way just look at the 3 pics i add in this post.
      My question is simple for the pros i guess : How can i turn, manipulate and put where and how i want any pic on any surface of sketchup ?

        Hi James and welcome.

        Watch this vide for ideas about projecting images on curved surfaces (this is what you'll need here):

        [flash=520,400:3gv4dy4t]http://www.youtube.com/v/HHsRRLCAOm8&hl=en&fs=1&[/flash:3gv4dy4t]

        Note that Aidan Chopra (who is speaking) there is also having "problems" with the size of the shape and the image not being the same. This is probably your issue here, too.

        Also, make sure that you have all white faces shown only (the blue ones are called "back faces" and you can right click and "Reverse" them) because SU will apply images mirrored on back faces.

        The image hosting site you have your images on tried to open thousands of popup windows in my Firefox. I was curious what is so important for them to communicate with me and a rather heavy flash animation wanted to load.

        Could you rather attach your images straight here rather than expecting members to click and visit sites like that? Thanks.

            Me too. This is the window I got with the site (and that number was RUNNING like a madman, believe me, my friend). The screenshot was made at 1306 popups but when I finally killed it, it was about 7,000 something.

            (Of course, this is only the attempt of opening the ONE SAME window - just several times - but it is actually a hatred thing to experience such an aggressive way of doing it)

              Ok i didnt notice the top bar of firefox, well about the problem i got, the video helped me to place a pic on a curved faced object but about my first problem wich was to place, turn, rotate exactly a pic on a certain face of an object it's not working whatever i try, i spent lots of time trying all the tips but its not working, i sure the solution isn't far but where ? By the way how to send image directly in this message ?

                Below the text area ou type when posting, there are two tabs. One says "Upload attachment".

                I'm not exactly sure what the issue with the first one is. If you import an image as texture, you should be able to apply it on any face you have in the model.

                How about uploading the model as well as the texture?
