[Request] Clever Outliner

I use Outliner extensively. Cannot live without it, cannot have enough of it, I dream about it at night.
But at the same time it's a piece of sh?t.
It doesn't sort components and groups by names, it always shows the entire tree structure in the file when it is opened, it doesn't...
I should stop now.
I just imagine how so much more useful it will be if Outliner features these simple functions... can it be done?

I think you will find it simpatico and I could use some support to get it further developed and tested.
