Page numbering issue

In the template that I am using in Layout, there is page numbering on the layer called "On every inside page" When I write a page number on one of those inside page, all inside pages have the same page number!

How can I have a letter box inserted in each inside page where I would only have to insert the page number? The page number would be specific to each inside page.

Hi Dundee,

In a LO document (especially in those having these "more detailed" templates) there are layers. Among the layers, you will find one that says "on every page" and the things that are here, will always be put on every page (just how you described it).
You need to put this part (page numbers) on a layer which appears only on one particular page (and layer).

Of course, automatic page numbering would help with this issue.

Sorry but I do not understand.

I have uploaded the file and you will see that Page 1 is numbered 1 on the right side in the lower corner. How can I have the same type of page numbering for Page 2 with the number 2 indicated?

You will need to manually insert those page numbers into each pegae at the moment (until there is an automatic page numbering system in LO - just like something you have ina Word processor)

Not ON the printable pages (the pages are numbered in the pages dialog)
