My Twilight attempts
-
As you can see I too have jumped on the Twilight wagon, I am in search of an interior solution and so far as I learn the ins and outs of Twilight (which is a very easy yet powerful app) I will post as I go along.
This is a reception area that has been re-designed, the problem here for any render solution is the wall material which is mirrored greeble and the lighting which is all L.E.D. Initially I had to figure out how to fake L.E.D and not get burn or glare, which can be pretty difficult if the room is a multi faceted mirror.
Anyway, I think it came out pretty well, especially for my third attempt with Twilight.
There is no post work besides borders and signature. -
Give the guy an engine and he will make it worthwhile.
That came out pretty convincing Pete! -
Wow, would you recommend Twilight? As in for ease of use and end results?
Your render looks great especially all the mirror and chrome effects. How is it on bumps and displacements?

Sweet!

looking good pete! my only comment would be that the big screen tv image looks like its pasted on the wall.. no reflections.. can be fixed easily.. also.. a huge tv like that would emit a lil bit of light also..
care to share the render preset u used, render size and render time ? -
Thanks guys.
Rich, no displacement, the wall is done with Jims greeble plugin.
I definitely would recommend Twilight, it's easy to get used to, the UI is simple and generally a fun render app.Jenu, I agree with the TV thing, I should have created another face and assigned a glass material with less shine in front of the current emitter based screen, the problem is you cannot get reflection on a fake emitter. (have learned this so next time I will get it right)
The TV emitters are not high enough set to cast light as when I tried the colors became saturated. -
Hello pete, good image the one that you achieved, I am glad you recommend this new program, I know your capacity and experience in the field.

yes it is very easy isn't it, but with so many useful options to tweak.
nice work there pete, although the greebled mirror wall may become a head-mash
