Texture question (help)

Why does Sketchup(7) saves the imported texture/image in reverse? I have a picture, for example, that's a profile of a woman's face; her nose is pointing left but when i save it in the material menu her face is pointing right. It's annoying. I know that it can be edited but is there a way for sketchup to save the orientation correctly?

Check the face orientation of the face onto which you applied the image. My guess is you applied the material to the back face.

Good call buddy. The face was in reverse. I see that sketchup draws a rectangle, for example, with the back side facing up by default. Thanks for your lucky guess

Glad that got it sorted. It wasn't really a lucky guess because I ran into it once years ago.
SketchUp draws the face on the ground plane with the back side up because usually that's going to be the bottom of some 3D object. The front face is facing out (down). About the only time it creates any sort of problem is when applying materials to a 2D face.
