Hi Colt, you came to the right place to ask, Rogue is a regular around here. I'm sure he'll join in, especially if I get it wrong.

I think what he is doing is selecting a circle and using the move tool to move it. In his demo, what he is modeling lies flat on the blue and red axis, so he moves the circles along the green axis (towards or away from the center of the wheel). Sometimes its hard to get the move tool to find the correct axis, so use the arrows keys to force the move tool onto an axis. Right is red axis, left is green, up and down are blue. Try that,

        Chris

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Come on, this is the "Newbie Department" so any question is "allowed" πŸ˜‰

Just to explain how NOT obvious this "trick" with the arrow keys have always been; it was first initiated in the free version of SU 5 (so Pro users didn't have it that time and they "had to" use the good, old, Shift key to lock a movement - which of course you can still do and when it's out of an axis, you still need to do).

Anyway, when it was finally introduced into both versions of SU 6, "old" pro users could still hardly get used to it sometimes (I remember really respected and experienced members - from whom I have learnt lots and lots about SU during the years - expressing this).

So there are things that are not always obvious therefore watching a fast recording video and not getting what someone is exactly doing there is not something you (or as a matter of fact, any beginners around) should apologise for.

Hey folks, you can take this as a kind of "encouragement" to post the seemingly most embarrassing "noob" questions!
