I have SketchupPro7, and I'm trying to understand how the RotX, RotY, And RotZ attributes work and are measured. Is the degree of rotation measured about the individual components axis? If so, why does it seem that when i change the degree of RotX, RotY, or RotZ from with Component Attributes that that it rotates the component around the "model" axis and not the "component" axis? And on occasion when i start changing the RotX, RotY, and RotZ it can effect the size of the part. if anyone can shed some light on this it be much appreciated

        Yes, this is correct.

Can you post the Component is question? If not, PM it and I can have a look. There's just so much that might be happening that it would be much easier this way.

        Hi

Thank you for answering my question i was able to figure out what was wrong. i had set the axis on my component in a way that the component attributes interface already assigned a rotation around one of the axis. and for some reason when you change one of the rotation attributes it sets the other rotation attributes back to zero.

This is an example of the component axis that I set. if you try to rotate the part with component attributes strange things happen.
