Question/Request - Is there a way to Filter Layers' ...

Is there way to filter layer descriptions (preferrable the display of the Layers Manager dialog) I often deal with cad files which could have hundreds of layers. The layer names may include multiple parameters such as: Area/zone, floor level, type of structure, etc. (for example: "Ground floor, column, hidden-line").
If I could filter for a specific layer description and select just those layers, then I could quickly and easily change layer visibility, delete, or combine layers according to the needs of my 3D Model.

Thanks, Pilou, for reminding me of the Didier's script. I got a new PC and forgot to reload it.
My memory span seems to be less "memorable" lately.
