okay, so I downloaded some plugins or tools. WHERE do they go? I put the ones marked tools (in their names) into the tools folder and the others in the plugins. But how do I know if they are working? I got a 3D shape plugin, but see it nowhere in the program when I open it up...

All plugins go in the plugins folder, regardless of what theyre called, so you'll need to grab the ones you put in tools and move them to plugins if you want them to work.

In terms of knowing whether their working or not it depends a lot on what the plugin. A lot of plugins just have a menu in the plugins menu, some put themselves in other menus (tools, drawing etc.) and some have menu entries in the right click menu. just look around.

Well, except at least one: Soap, Skin and Bubble which goes to the Tools folder although that's indeed rare.

Soap skin goes into the tools folder? Thats not right. Does Josef have an installer with it that puts it there? @Last or Google or whoever it was at the time specified that the tools folder was only for their use and plugins folder is for all other plugins.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Well, at least that's where I keep it:

I swear I've seen installation instructions on his site but I cannot find them now.
