Supersample factor
-
Im trying to do a high resolution render from sketchup with indigo renderer and apparently need to change my supersample factor to 1, this will apparently allow me to allocate hardware resources more efficiently and attain a larger image file without the renderer crashing (it currently crashes when I try to render over 3000 x 3000 pixels). I have been sent here from the indigo forum and am trying to find out how I actually change the supersample factor to 1.... can someone help me, I'm new to this so if its moderately complex please explain. Thanks.

Its a bit tricky, as skindigo doesnt have an interface for setting the super sample, as far as i can tell anyway.
What you have to do is:
-setup your scene
-go plugins->skindigo->export scene
-use notepad(or some other text editor) to open the file_name-settings.igs part of the file you just exported
-find the<render_settings>
part of the file
-paste<super_sample_factor>1</super_sample_factor>
in at the end of the<render_settings>
bit
-save the file
-use indigo to open file_name.igs and watch as it renders in glorious high res. -
Wow! That worked Remus, thanks so much, I have been playing with this stuff for days. Am now rendering a 60 meg png in high res...cant wait to print. Thanks very much for your help.
