The code might not get rid of the problem forever, but at least you can download and play other models

Mr. Planet's problem has been fixed. I was able to help Mr. Planet locate the "empty group" using the outliner, and i was able to fill that group using ruby code. This may work for Javixp. You must find the name of the group, which in this case was "----". simply put this code into the ruby console.
            ----.entities.add_line([[0,0,0],[1,1,1]])
the '----' should be the name of the empty group.
Thanks to CPhillips for pointing out to me that it was indeed an empty group. And thanks for showing me how to make a group using ruby. i was able to decipher the code and i figured out how to put something in a certain group by specifying the name of the group. By locating the group's name, i could easily fill it. Problem Solved.

Yeah, I downloaded your "Scripting Fun" and it didn't work, but I opened the Outliner and it did... πŸ˜„

Ok. We finally have a clue about this. But I still cant figure out the problem. When I load the simitar model and look in the outliner I cant find a group that doesnt have anything in it. Did you fix the model?

I need a model that fails so I can find out why it doesnt fail for everyone. Then I will be able to sleep nights.

I don't believe that the scimitar had a model error. Mr. Planet's problem was caused by the plugin, loft(chris fullmer). I'm not sure why, but Mr. Planet sent an error report. I'm not sure if JaViXP's problem was caused by loft, though. All I know is that there is something that creates an empty group.

That's it! Simple Loft by Chris Fullmer! (That's the plugin that broke SP, I have this plugin too).

Why did you repeat something Physicsguy already said. Anyway, outliner may have deleted that group (I believe it checks each one) due to it having nothing in it.

BTW, the group is called 'Group' and it's at the bottom of all objects names group.
