Dynamic Cabinet Door
-
This is a cabinet door that I created. I draw a lot of kitchens, and I really don't like drawing doors over and over again! I came up with this component, and I have been adding to it over the past few weeks....

Thought I'd share here, Perhaps some of you may find it useful! It has configurable panels, frames, glass, mullions, reveals, and can be butted to another door. It can also report the actual door size. My thought is that some of you wood workers could use this door, set in in your face frames, and get actual door sizes based on tolerances set in the "Reveal" setting.

I'm surprised that you've gotten no comments on this so far. This is a very well designed Dynamic Component that clearly follows the guideline of having all the options embedded in a single component so you don't have to hunt, you can just change.
Your video provides a very clear explanation of it too. I particularly like the way you zoom in on exactly what you are talking about to show what the user needs to know. What recording/editing tool did you use?
The concept of displaying the finished size of the door in the DC dialog, doing all the clearance calculations in the DC, rather that having dimension lines in the drawing, is also a good one.
I like it a lot.

Yes, I highly agree with August. This is a very very useful dynamic component.
Doing woodworking as a hobby (almost full time) It is true that we spent much time drawing doors and this DC will save me quite a bit of time
Tank you Eric
