There's a ruby that lets you, amongst other things, set the 'tilt' and the height of the camera. I use it all the time -works just fine with MW! Really handy. Forgot what it's called, though, and can't go check right now.

Anyone else know what it's called?

Hmmmmm? Well isn't that interesting!!! I'd like that one too if you can work it out later mate!

definitely would like that ruby, stinkie! i actually might have to search for it tonight, because i need to finish this image tonight...

richard...no, not going from preview...just exporting from sketchup for a quick 10 min render (no studio)

          one more...

i could probably just do this with sketchup and no renderer....but just messing around. the reason for maxwell is simple...its all i've got and its basically all i know...haha..could use podium, i guess...but vray, dont own it and dont think i have the mental capacity to learn a biased renderer πŸ˜„ 5 mins of setup and 10 min render and done, in maxwell.

2 point would definitely be better, but maxwell doesnt support, and nor does podium for that matter. could do shift lens in studio, but then it'd be a pita to get the line overlay to match up...

            here's the next iteration....

thanks for the dose of reality, phil...editted my posts..i knew the chances were slim of them floatin in here, but ya never know plus its not too professional.

i didnt think of horizontal strokes.... probably should've tried it though.. i went with vertical because i was stuck on the reflection idea.... think i'm calling this done for now...client is happy..so good enough πŸ˜‰ only spent like 5 hours on it.

Have you tried horizontal stroke marks for the illustration they might counteract the perceived height of the building. The vertical stroke marks seem to over emphasize the height of the building.

Here's the ruby. (Hope I fetched the right one out of my plugins folder!!)

                        Usage:

                        • set your view like you'd normally do.
                        • under "camera", choose "create camera". You'll see a pop-up. Choose a name for your cam ("camera 1", "camera 2", etc), then click OK.
                        • right-click in the viewport. A pop-up appears. Choose "Edit Camera", then change the settings to your liking. Click OK.
                        • Right-click in the viewport again. A pop-up will appear. Click "done".

who's the plugin author, Tom? does it able to remove a camera?
been trying to use the batch render in KT, but when the scene was modified, SU seems to add another cam.
i've been looking for a plugin that might be able to edit cam position or remove any.

                          is there any?

                          thank you.

I don't know who the ruby's author is.

You can easily remove any camera the plugin added. The way it works, is that it actually adds a camera model to your scene -you can simply delete that model. As for the camera's position, you can edit its height and tilt via the plugin, and you can quite simply use SU's native tools to move it about or rotate it.

                            Efficient, and totally WYSIWYG.

Beautiful image, Jason. IMHO, I think it could do with some more people and cars, to convey the idea of a thriving (and prosperous) community.

                              My avatar is an anachronism.

sounds like a great script to me. i'd like to download it if you don't mind.
