      Hi there...

Is there a ruby allowing update multiple components from a folder at once?
My goal is to transform multiple blocks from autocad with their 3D counterparts.
I know that sketchup has the reload feature (components menu), but my drawing has dozens of diferent components... an automated procedure would help a lot! πŸ˜‰

      Any tips?

      Thanks

        Hi,

Although I haven't ever used myself, AFAIK TIG's XrefManager does something like this. You can find it in the Ruby Library Depot (there are two versions - also read the instructions as some additional plugin is needed, too).

Thanks Gaieus, but i dont thing that is does the job.

I've tried but i can't swap between DWG xref and SKP xref. The reload works only for XREF of the same type.
          Unless i'm doing something wrong...

          Any other tip? πŸ˜‰

Well, since I haven't used it, I don't really have a tip unless that it should only work with skp files of course (so no swapping between 3D file formats).

In this case, why don't you convert all your dwg blocks into skp components?

Did you try to import the revised blocks manually?. When I need to update a component, I just delete it in the SU model, then import the dxf block, The blocks come into SU as components. Make sure that the coordinate system, and scale options are the same in both applications.
