Outliner causes crashes
-
Okay, I am getting familiar with the outliner.
and I seem to want to move groups around within it,
when I grab a couple of groups(sub groups) and nest them beneath a master group....crashes the whole system.
I even tried it in "safe" mode.
here is the crash message:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000020
Crashed Thread: 0any insights?
thanks

I did it very carefully, moving one item at a time to a new master group,
and it crashed.
this seems a bug, or am I "moving" these outline sub categories incorrectly?
thanks for you perspectives and insights.

Hmm, I can't reproduce it. I grab groups and drag them around and they go just where I want them to. Any other clues?

must be that famous MAC stability thingy.
Mike, are you out there?

Should I post the file?
And maybe it is a "Mac thing"
More and more I feel that this is a hardware / software compatibility issue as I "crash" disturbingly frequently.
thanks

Well, on opening (PC - see details on the left) I get this:
@unknownuser said:
An invalid model has been detected!
Please, record the steps you just performed
and contact Google Support so we
can determine the cause of the problem. Then the model opens just fine (orbited around here and there, changed camera to perspective etc. without problem) and when I go to Model info > Statistics > Fix problems, although it's "thinking" for a while, cannot find any.
There are a couple of materials and components unpurged though - I haven't done anything with them (and they shouldn't cause this) but they may be the cause of the big file size.

The "genius bar" had a few suggestions, it could be the program, could be my hard drive going bad, it could be my operating system is corrupted...thanks for feedback and I will update you as to the progress.
