Hi Guys,
As you are probably well aware SketchUcation runs Google AdSense to help pay the overheads. However I have noticed that there is on occasion some AdSense adverts appearing that are totally irrelevant to the topics they are displaying on.
I would ask you to PM me and advise on any AdSense Adverts that you consider irrelevant or inappropriate and I will block them as I know this can be somewhat annoying.

You know? I had never even noticed those ads in the forums until you mentioned them... Were there ads here before? I thought they were only in the front page.

Miguel, well they are suppose to be low profile but in your case they must be sub profile 
I have no idea what kind of AdSense Ads appear in your part of the World, also I imagine a lot of them would be non English. So if you spot any that you think are not suitable let me know and I will do the necessary

..... Geeee, this is becoming a full time job! Still I'll have to stick it out.
I'm off for a few days 4th to 9th and won't be as active here but will get rid of as many as I can during my break. -
I hadn't even realised that the site had any ads.
I wonder how many other people have the same setup? and does it bother you that we don't see or click on the ads?
I assume that the refreshing of the main forum page every 60 seconds has something to do with the ads?

I do see the adverts. I didn't see any adverts until a few weeks ago though. But the Google text ads have never bothered me, so I don't block them.
It's them cursed spastic GIF and Flash animations which I can't stand. -

No, the refreshing is much older. In fact, we didn't even plan ads on the forum when it was installed.

Yeah, I hate them, too. Very distracting, annoying and eating up bandwidth easily.

I believe there is a global set-up in the adsense tools that you can either restrict types of ads or allow types -haven't been to it for awhile so I'm not sure - but worth a look-see.Al

There are certain domains you can disallow and we do that, too. Then there are "categories" but they seem to be too "wide" since for computer or internet technology (or what) we keep getting results from other forums or discussion boards totally unrelated to SU - I guess only on the basis of this SCF also being a forum.

I'm a user, and I don't care. A couple blue boxes with words never hurt anybody, neither has an ad for render plus. As long as it's not huge and moving. I hate moving ads.
