Sketchup preferences openGL options

I have no idea where this question belongs.
Sketchup preferences under OpenGL has a check box to "correct reversed picking driver bug". This is currently unchecked on my machine. I do not know anything about the picking driver or any bugs.
Is anyone familiar with this? -
Its to do with an ATI driver that had a bug that caused SU to select faces behind the one you actually wanted to select. You shouldnt need to touch it.

The whole OpenGL dialog box belongs IMO to the "if it works OK, don't touch it" category. OK, the different Antialiasing options might have an influence on how your SU screen looks like, but even with them it is mostly best to stick with what works.
