How do you touch/collide objects ?

Hello all,
How do you set things so that objects stop when they collide ?
For example, I move a cube towards a cylinder and I wish it to stop when it touches the cylinder, rather than merge with it.

To avoid both entities "gluing" to each other, group them before moving.
And if you want to be more precise while moving, learn about SketchUp's inference system. Check this page:
