Problem placing Swinging Door - interior and Circular stair

Whenever i place one of these they 'jump around'.
The stair places itself in some kind of corner (it's a spiral stair and it's center i placed in the corner, not very useful).
And the door 'drops down' to ground level, even if i move the axes. It's not very useful that way.a) Am I doing anything wrong ? I haven't got this problem with most components.
