Scene transition

In a model with various scenes, I often create a scene which has no camera location, but would toggle off shadows and non-essential layers like trees and cars. This allows me to pan around the model efficiently. Probably everyone does something similar.
When I want to return to one of the scenes that I want to view/export, it seems that the first thing SU does is to turn on shadows and layers as required by the scene, and then panning to the defined camera location. This means that SU has to recalculate the shadows for everything as it pans and inevitably slows down the transition.
This isn't a bug, but, I think, something inherent in the way SU was created. If, alternatively SU went first to the camera location and then, as a final step, turned on the required layers and shadow settings, it seems to me that the transition would happen more quickly.
I'd like to hear your comments.

If you are not exporting the animation, you can turn off scene transitions altogether in Window > Model Info > Animation.

Jeremy, my guess is that SU does things this way round as otherwise shadows etc. wouldnt look right in an exported animation (where the camera travels along a path between scenes.)

Thanks Jim and Remus. I don't use animations that much, so didn't think about this. But turning off transitions as Jim recommends certainly makes a difference.
