POST YOUR RENDERS NR.2: WAREHOUSE
-
I've downloaded the .skp but I seem to have a dark grey stripe top and bottom and I can't get rid of it
Does anyone know whats causing it?
-
heres my quick go at it.
kevsterman, you can get rid of those bars with the skindigo exporter (settings->reset camera), i think you can do it with the film and stage plugin, although i havent tried it.

Kev
Sorry about that, I was rendering it with Indigo on Friday night when Kwisten asked if I would share it for this thread, I never remembered to reset the camera before saving.

I figured so many people did vray and there were promises to do it in maxwell, but noone mentioned artlantis, decided to fill the gap.
Thank you for your guidance. A pushed it a little to far in photoshop, but it was too much fun, I could not stop. -
Which version of Artlantis? I'd be curious to see the raw render.
Anyone have any candidates for the next render showcase? I've been looking through the warehouse trying to find something suitable, but I can't seem to find "the one". This has been great practice and I'd like to see it become a regular event on SCF.

I agree it should and will be a regular feature, just based on the responses (and over a weekend too) means that this will be a staple.
I am thinking of making it a regualr in the gallery section.
How about 'Render this.....' as the feature name? The value this brings is in evaluating a render engine you get to see what regular users can do with an identical scene.
The next one should be an exterior as someone metioned before, I will look around for a scene.
-
By the way Adam, I see you render in many different apps, care to give me the scoop on all the ones you have? as you seem to own all the cool toys.
-
Yes solo...that sounds perfect. I think it really reflects, not only what render engines are capable of, but how the results can vary from user to user. I think we have such a talented (and growing) membership here. Future threads like this will only serve to build excitement in new users and push them to want to learn more.
I would love it if you chose an exterior scene for the next render this showcase. After that, we can do a kitchen, then a bathroom, then a product shot, then a water scene, then........the list is endless....I'm getting excited just thinking about it!
The render engines I use are Vray (Max&SU) Hypershot, Vue, Podium, Kerky, indigo & Modo. I've demoed every one I could find over the past year. But have settled in to Vray, Hypershot and Vue as my primary favorites. Never really got into the unbiased engines, although of the ones I used, I liked Fry the best. I've spent a lot of money on software last year, but it's nice to be able to hand those receipts to my accountant and have them come off of the tab I owe to the man. I'm praying business picks up this season, or I doubt I'll be getting any new toys for a while.
