      Hi guys!

When I import an image and place it on a face, the image cannot be seen because it is exactly on the surface. Is there any other method to do it? I don't want to put it as textured image because I can control the image size better if I import it.

Anyway, about textured images.. How can I create a library for my material? they are all in jpg and SU can only read skm, right? I'm sure there's a way.. Pls help me.

      Thanks!

        Hi mcf,

If you import an image as an image and not as texture, you don't need to place it on a face; it can be placed in the empty space.

As for texture libraries, when you imported an image as texture (or exploded the imported image), it will appear in the Material dialog under the "In model" (little house) folder. When you scaled it properly, you can simply save them by going to the Details menu (the little, blue arrow on the right, above the material list) and save the collection as a new material library.

hey, meaning to say, i have to use the material first so that it can be in the In Model and save it? is there a way like i can copy paste the whole file of my materials into something so that it will be in the library?

            thanks!!

There is amassmaterialimporter.rb plugin in the Ruby Library Depot. I don't know how (well) it exactly works -note that it was written for version % first and since version 6, SU handles materials differently. Yet it says 5+ so itmight work.

Maybe you still have to scale your materials properly?
