What is the best way to prevent displacement from pulling apart a texture where it wraps around a 90 degree corner? It happens to me in both Vue and Vray and I'm not sure of a fix. I particularly have the issue trying to displace brick or stone veneer textures.

I guess without having the model loaded on my rig the only suggestion I can give you is to check your UV settings for the texture, making sure it's object standard.
I did a quick (crude) one and these are my settings.

Thanks for that Pete, it was helpful. I think I've narrowed the problem down to a scale issue.

If you wouldn't mind, there are two other things that I'm struggling with a little in Vue.

        1. Making a realistic residential style lawn.
        2. Soft Shadows

        Any advice?

For soft shadows you can achieve that with your atmosphere settings by adjusting your ambient/sunlight balance and you can do it by playing with your render settings, see image below.

Now as far as lawn goes, you can use a seamless image with displacement, or a procedural terrain with an ecosystem. If you can show me the scene, I may be able to create an ecosystem or terrain for the scene (I try match my grass to scene)

Thanks Pete. The soft shadow button will still result in hard shadows for me. Perhaps it's the ambient light/sun light slider that I need to adjust.

For the grass, I'm looking for something that I can use for quick residential projects. A short mowed lawn that doesn't appear flat, without taxing render times too much. Do you think creating an ecosystem material would be my best bet? As it will render billboards in the distance, instead of trying to displace an entire lawn.
