Google Sketchup Pro 7 Student License Not working
-
Hi,
I have been wanting Sketchup Pro for a long time now, and when I realised I could get it cheaper for being a student, I had to take the opportunity. I sent off my details, student proof, and money to 'CreationEngine', and I recieved the e-mail conatining the authorisation code and that. I was so excited! I opened Sketchup Pro, clicked 'Help>Licence>Authorize...' then copied and pasted the info from the e-mail into notepad, exactly correctly, how it was. Then I copied it from notepad into the box. The lines turn blue one by one, and it gets to the bottom, then tells me 'Invalid serial number and/or authorization code' I click Ok, a bit annoyed. I copied and pasted my name, from notepad, into the thing, and the same for the other 3 fields, Company/Organisation, Serial Number, and Authorization number. Then press Ok. It comes up with a message saying this:
Licence File:***Sketchup7.if Evaluation You have 448 minutes of application use left in the evaluation. User:*** Company:*** Serial:***After this it goes to another box saying this:
Sketchup Pro Evaluation A sketchup pro license unlocks LayOut, 3d Model exporters and entities you to free e-mail support. It has three options 'Buy License...' 'Enter License...' 'Continue'
In the top right hand corner, sketchup still says 'EVAL', if that helps.
Is my licence activated? Do I have my year of use? If not, what do I do?
Please help me,
Thankyou,
Mike -
If your using SU 7 on vista you need to right click the SU icon->run as administrator. Once youve done that you should then be able to activate SU, you shouldnt need to do it again after that.
