Sphere Manipulation

OK I can make spheres and complex rounded objects. Yes he can be taught! Now I need to know how to cut grooves and window holes into these curved and round surfaces. I really do look for the tutes for this stuff before I ask here but I have yet to find one on this subject. Thanks in advance.

Probably the most versatile way to do things like this is with intersections.
In essence, you get the 2 bits of geometry you want to intersect->select them->right click->intersect->with selected.
If you have a play around with this im sure you'll get the idea in no time

There is a nicely performed tutorial about it here:

I have attached a 2 scene model, the first has a complete sphere with 2 other objects poking into it.
The second is the result of:
- Double clicking the sphere to edit it
- Going "Edit -> Intersect -> Intersect with model"
- Deleting the 2 boxes
- Deleteing the faces no longer needed
- Adding the lines that completed the internal faces
