Saving

I don't know if I'm being incredibly stupid here, or if sketchup/osx is having a laugh.
I've just spent the last couple of hours working on some variations of this thing I'm working on, saving as I went, and saving multiple copies of each. Come the end of this session I had 2 different ideas up on screen, each with their saved name at the top. I then saved both using "save as" to ensure there would be no problems, and now they're no-where to be found. They aint in the last opened tab, on osx's desktop, anywhere. Is this a current bug with sketchup and osx? It makes it completely unusable obviously, as it seems only random things are being saved.
Any ideas?

Im not sure if this will work on a mac, but in windows it remembers the last location you saved to, so if you go file->save as it should initially show the last place you saved to.

remus that's true on the Mac as well. But Mac also has in the SU Menu: "File/Open recent" that displays several recent files. If punter is not finding it there, something bad is happening. And no, this isn't common. You also have Spotlight on the Mac for easy searches, so it looks like some thing's going wrong. Hope you find them.
