I have just joined and am really excited about this site! I am a CAD Specialist and want to learn to use SketchUp to help in my rendering, etc. Do you have any tuts that let me work in SketchUp while the tut is going? I want to do what the video says as it says it - I know I'm not explaining very well but.... Are there any tuts like this?

probably the best thing for that sort of thing is the self paced tutorials. You can find them under the help menu.

They are tutorials that work inside SU, so you just work your way through them while you do whatever you need to in SU.

          Hi Dna and welcome.

Coen makes tuts like that in flash - they stop at every step so you can try doing what he is explaining and then click to go on.
Here is a selection of his tuts in the Tutorial forum:

(The forum software breaks the link and it is not clickable so just copy/paste it into your browser from here)

I look at online video tutorial time to time. When I miss a step, I just pause it, rewind a little, and replay it until I get it.

Yah, mee too, that's the good way with the video tuts in general.

The ones above however are very easy to follow - even for a non native English speaker (ince listening to a tut sometimes is harder than jus reading a few lines).
