hello! I am making a sketchup model, over a building with for floors. I now would like to build up each floor with walls, windows etc, and also the facades (as sheets glued on), and when that is done i would like to kind of saw it, divide the model so that each floor kan be lifted up. The main thing is that it seems to me that it is easier to build up the whole facade in one part, instead of making a three meter high part for each floor which would be waste of time.

Maybe the questions is a bit vague, but do you know how to do?

    Regards

      Hi Per,

I am not sure I understand you. You want to make the building in one piece then slice upt to lift each floor? Where? If you make it one piece, the floors will already be in place!

I don't understand either. Are you talking about a card model derived from sketchup or are you talking about an exploded 3d model in sketchup?

          I think....

You are want each floor to be separate so you can replicate it.. yes?

I suggest using components of the floors (If you are going to repeat them) or groups if not.

Yes group or component each floor. You may have to hide the lines in the horizontal plane of each group so they do not show across the elevation.
