      Hi,
      How do i map textures to a model, in this case the cottage i am working on. And when i make a bump map can i add that in vue then or do i have to map that also ?.

        1. Import the texture into your library (see Sketchup help)

        2. Ensure that the dimensions are correct under the 'Edit Texture' dialog box. For example if you have a brick texture which has 5 bricks across then the it would likely be set at 750mm (150*5).

        3. Apply the texture to your surface like any other with the paint bucket tool.

        4. Right click on the face and select 'Texture > Position'

        5. Use the four grips to position / rotate and skew your texture.

        I haven't used vue but sketchup exports standard UV map information and therefore you should not need to remap in vue.

          In Vue you can add your bump using the function editor, there is no need to map it as it will be made from the original image you mapped in SU.

            thanks decipher.

            Solo, i just learned how to make the bumps in photoshop and wanted to use the tutorial for the bump. i'll see what happens when i use the bump, first going to try to import the image and map it πŸ˜‰
