Sketchup 7 PRO Download
-
I have a computer running windows 2000 and tried to download the trial version of Sketchup 7 pro. I wanted to save it to my thumb drive and install it on another computer running windows xp. The download was not successful.
The windows xp computer is not currently connected to the internet.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks.

You should be able to download the file to a windows 200 computer. That should not make a difference, I don't think. Try it again?

Chris,
That's what I thought. I've tried downloading it 2 times already, having to fill in the forms each time.
Maybe the 3rd time will be a charm.

rogerra,
You can download from here...

...without having to fill-out the forms.Taff

It still does not download on my Win2kpro computer. It says it is downloading but the end result if a 1k file. What's with that?

right click > save destination to... > Desktop
am donloading at the moment without any probs, must be you inet connection => use an inet download manager (as e.g. DownThemAll! if using FireFox) which enables you to download several chunks at the same time (= more speed) as well as recovering broken resp. aborted downloads.
good luck,

I just tried for the 3rd and 4th time. No success.
I use Star Downloader. It says it is downloading but takes 1 or 2 seconds and then says it downloaded 0 Bytes.
I guess I'll have to wait until I get a high speed connection on my win xt pro machine.

Does the other computer have a slow internet connection? you could just start the download and and let it run over night or something.
Or what about d/ling it at the library and saving it to a flash drive or something. Or a neighbors house? Anywhere else.

The right click does not show a "save as" option. It just says "save link as". I haven't tried that because I already have the link.
Anyway, I'm going to get a high speed connection soon, or find a friend with xt or vista to download it for me and put it on my thumbdrive.
Thanks all for the suggestions though.

Doing that doesn't save the link, it saves the program.

Thanks everyone.
The "save link as" was successful.

I've had similar problems using download managers, most of the time they work, but sometimes all they do is frustrate. If you try downloading without a download manager it will work fine.
