      Hello!

I want to make a SPHERE! I know how to make a circle, but not a sphere. I guess it is something with rotating a circle around an axis...but have not found out how to do. Does anyone know?

      Greatful for help! πŸ˜„

      Best Wishes

      Mr Per

Alan beat me (yeah, making a video and uploading to YT takes a while πŸ˜„ ) but anyway:

          Hello Per,

You have to "lathe" your circle around another one using the Follow me tool.
At the very end of this page of the SU Guide you will find an example with a cone how to make it.

Also here is a quick video example of the "Jean (Johnny) Lemire way" of making it easily:

          [flash=425,344:gv1ea085]http://www.youtube.com/v/4g5NQjNAYvI&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0[/flash:gv1ea085]

          The steps to follow

          1. draw a circle
          2. draw another one on a perpendicular plane (make sure that their centerpoints are correctly aligned)
          3. select the first circle (to define the path of the follow me tool)
          4. with the follow me tool, click on the other circle
If you are good at it, it doesn't take longer than 2-3 seconds.

Edit: And yes, I am moving it to Newbies; not just because it really IS a newbie question (don't get me wrong) but also for others to learn.

Edit2: someone beat me even in moving it 😲

Here is another method, call it 'thinking inside the box' method.

              Using 'subdivide' plugin.
