Crazy Idea

Hey everyone, i just got a crazy idea... what if we got a group of people to join up and form a "sketchup world"? there would be different countries, militaries, an economy (which would be tricky to manage, but i'm sure with everyone working together we could figure it out) etc. This idea just came to me. if this strikes any of you as enticing, please email me!! i would really like to see this happen! once we get enough people, we could set up a Google Group dedicated to the society. please, this needs lots of people to work, so don't be shy -- email me with questions, or if you want to join! i'd be happy to answer any questions or help with any ideas! we just need people to make this work!!!

heh... good point. done, and done. Also, i am working on the Google Groups part of the SketchUp World. Check it out: http://groups.google.com/group/sketchup-world/?pli=1 On the right side, hit the "apply for group membership" link to apply to get in. i'm not gonna be picky and reject anyone, i just want to see who all is comming. thanks!

I had a dream (while sleeping: an actual dream) once,
that mixed together sketchup, GTA, and online RPGs
(weird mix).
except my idea was not owning a country, but a
property.
it would be like most online RPG's but in 3d,
and to make money, you'd make models
and "sell" them for virtual coinage at a virtual market.You'd also be able to make your house on the
property, and "flip" houses and sell them for
profits.
As for the walking around part, it'd be
kinda like grand-theft auto, but without the
grand-theft part.
(just biking, running, or driving around),
and it'd have minigames like paintball or something.As for (actual) money to
develop and other stuff, in-game adds.
Too bad it was just a dream
(I'm guessing this kind of thing would be improbable) -
