Save as sketchup v6

Is it possible to have a ruby in order to save as V6 directly within SU7, meanwhile V7 becomes a standard version for everybody. I know you can select it, but in case you forget it, the file could be open by anyone in v6.
Thanks

I know it's off-topic and not a solution just mention that if you upload to the 3D Warehouse, it will automatically be available in v6 (and I think still v5 as well).
So there must be a process that runs the model through a conversion to earlier formats.

Could I also suggest that contributors also post SU files as SU V6 for the moment. I am still using V6 and so cannot open files created and saved in V7.

I'm not sure how long it will be until we switch to 7, due to the economics of our industry. Will the free version of 7 work ok installed alongside the Pro version of 6?

Yes.
