I'm having a problem keying in the SIZE of the object while creating it.

The tutorial says "Type in ... " blah, blah.

However, when I attempt to do that, it comes in as a different size,
usually where I released the mouse.

Do you type that in while holding the mouse on the object while
dragging it ???? Or is there some method of clicking the tool
and keying in the dimensions I want prior to dragging???

I can't get the hang of it.

[I guess in a perfect world, as in Adobe Illustrator, you would
Option/Alt click with the tool-loaded mouse, and a diaglog would
come up where you could key in the sizes. 😞 ]

      Thanks again for everyone's help!

        Hi DTG,

If I asume correctly, you are trying to click into the VBC / Measurement box to activate it and start typing, am I right?

Don't do that. Just start the operation in the desired direction (you can even release the mouse or finish the operation) and type then hit Enter. Never click into the dialog.
