I guess SU isn't being dumbed down to produce content for Virtual Worlds after all. 😉

Lively was a 20 min program. Google programmers are encouraged to spend 20 minutes a day thinking of something new and working on it. I guess it had it's 20 minutes of fame. I downloaded it tried it and was turned off immediately.

I had the same experience, Phil. We're always on the lookout for new areas of expansion, but this one was ruled out almost immediately. I think most normal people find these virtual worlds more than a little creepy. Just because something raises the possibility for online interaction and commerce doesn't mean it's going to have mass appeal....not outside of Geeksville, at any rate.

yes I thought it was creepy. but teenage creepy it was really amateurish and at 43 I felt like the old man sitting in the rocking chair at a family reunion.
